The JR-24 property is comprised of two concessions totaling 1400 hectares located in Ancash Department approximately 40 kilometres northwest of Huaraz. The property is located in the Cordillera Negra at an altitude of 4400 to 4850 m ASL and is about 16 kilometres north of Silver Standard’s San Luis gold property that is in pre-development. The Cordillera Negra has a number of very important precious metals deposits including Barrick’s Pierina mine.

JR-24 lies on the northern rim of a caldera in andesitic Calipuy volcanic.
