Precious Metals Division - Huaraz

This prospect consists of a single concession, Mercedes XXVII which is located about 6 kilometres southeast of the city of Huaraz. The property is readily accessible from a main road via local farm roads. Elevation is 3,200 – 3,500 m asl.

The property is deeply incised exposing a prominent zone of argillic alteration in Calipuy volcanics (pyroclastics). Minor brecciation was observed in a few places. Jarositic staining is extensive with lesser hematite. The zone is estimated to be about 3 kilometres long in a northwest-southeast direction and about a half to one kilometre wide.
